Camp Pinniped Goes Online With Pacific Marine Mammal Center
The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is going online for summer camp in 2020, helping kids learn about the marine mammals they save, & more.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach's Pacific Marine Mammal Center has flipped their program for 2020, opening up their famous Camp Pinniped to a virtual camp experience.
Each camper will receive a box of exactly what you need to follow the virtual program, take part in activities and crafts.
This is the ultimate STEM experience for youngsters who want to learn all the wild, weird and wonderful facts about some of the ocean's most amazing creatures.

"Online camp is full of fun, interactive activities and STEM oriented topics to keep kids learning," a spokesperson for the camp wrote on their website. "Through a series of live chats, videos, presentations and activities, children will learn how we rescue and rehabilitate our seal and sea lion patients."
Campers will be introduced to different careers in marine science, hearing from professionals about what their job is like. Each day has a different marine mammal theme in order to provide a well-rounded study of our ocean environment.

When: Camp Pinniped at Home is a one-week program. Programs are offered between June 15 and August 14th. Online Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST.
Age: Campers must be between the ages of 8 to 12
Class size: Class size is limited to 18 campers per session
Cost per camper: $229.00; Full payment at registration is required to hold a spot for you child.
What supplies will I need? None. PMMC will mail you everything you need ahead of time.
Transfers: There is an additional $20.00 fee for switching camp weeks after signup.
Refunds: Are only provided for medical emergencies verified by a doctor. Reimbursement is not given for any missed days or cancellations. All proceeds from Camp go to the medical care and treatment of our seal and sea lion patients.
