Catalytic Converter Etching Event In Laguna Beach: How To Sign Up

Laguna Beach residents can protect themselves against catalytic converter thefts at the free event.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach residents looking to protect themselves against catalytic converter theft were encouraged to take part in a catalytic converter etching event on Saturday, June 3.

The event is being held by the Laguna Beach Police Department in partnership with Saddleback College, and only Laguna Beach residents are permitted to attend.

According to authorities, etching of the catalytic converter creates a way for law enforcement to locate the owner if they have fallen victim to their catalytic converter being stolen.

Residents were encouraged to register quick, as only the first 30 vehicles to schedule will be allowed to attend the event.
