Chocolate Shop Closes Permanently In Laguna Beach

A longstanding chocolate shop located on Coast Highway closed its doors for good last week in Laguna Beach.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — After 40 years of business, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Laguna Beach closed its door last week for good.

The storefront, located at 248 South Coast Highway, announced its closure on Facebook and by a written message left posted on the storefront's glass.

"It is a bittersweet moment for us," the message read. "Thank you for 40 years of allowing us to sweeten your gatherings and celebrations. We loved seeing many of you growing up and returning with your children and grandchildren."

The reason for the closure was not immediately known.

Residents can find Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory products at several other locations in Orange County, including San Clemente and Irvine. For more information, visit the company's website.
