LAGUNA BEACH, CA — New developments in Downtown Laguna Beach got a shout-out from city staff Friday.

The city spotlighted recent improvements at 227-237 Ocean Avenue, home to Yuzu Laguna Beach, Little Freebirds and Breeze & Brew.

According to city staff, a fresh coat of paint and targeted repairs has given the building a clean look, which the city hopes will add charm and visual interest to Downtown Laguna Beach.

"Downtown Laguna Beach plays a central role in the City’s identity as a coastal arts community," Senior Management Analyst Louie Lacasella told Patch. "Beautification projects help preserve the character of the area, enhance the experience for residents, support local businesses, and ensure that public spaces remain inviting, functional, and reflective of Laguna Beach’s unique sense of place."
