Coast Film & Music Festival Prepares For November Debut In Laguna

The Coast Film Foundation announced the return of the well-loved festival in Laguna Beach with an added musical twist.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The 4th annual Coast Film & Music Festival is returning to Laguna Beach in November, and residents can get the full experience either in-person or online as the festival gears up for a Nov. 9 launch.

The signature event is held annually by the Coast Film Foundation, and this year, the festival is spicing things up by debuting its new addition of live music to the five-day event.

ā€œWe’re thrilled to announce that Coast Film & Music will once again take over the Festival of Arts site in Laguna Beach,ā€ Festival co-founder and organizer Ben Warner said in a statement. ā€œThe venue, which is near a protected stretch of ocean as well as 22,000 acres of wilderness park, offers a fantastic indoor/outdoor setting that underscores the themes of the festival.ā€

The weeklong festival will screen about 50 films, including the cult surf classic "Five Summer Stories" by Laguna Beach's own Greg MacGillivray, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The band "Honk" will play live music with the film, according to a news release.

Coast Film & Music Festival tickets are available for purchase on the festival's website and range from all-day tickets for $50, half-day tickets for $25, $35 for a night at the festival and up to $475 for VIP and all-weekend passes.

In addition, festival-goers will enjoy a sponsor's village, curated art exhibit, multiple bars, a silent disco, food trucks and other treats.

The Coast Film & Music Festival runs from Nov. 9 through the 13, and residents can enjoy an online version of the festival starting Nov. 17 and running through Nov. 27.
