Ditch The E-Waste At Free Recycling Event In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Do you have e-waste, universal waste or paint taking up space in your garage?

The City of Laguna Beach is hosting a paint, universal waste and e-waste drop-off event for Laguna Beach residents and businesses on Earth Day.

At the event, residents can drop off a maximum of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste per trip, with multiple trips being permitted.

According to the city, residents looking to discard their waste were asked to abide by the following safety reminders:

• Materials should be in original containers.
• All containers must have lids, be sturdy and secure, non-leaking, labeled and protected from breakage.
• Materials will only be accepted from vehicles.
• Pedestrian traffic is not allowed.
• Waste is strictly limited to residents and small businesses.
• Residents must bring proof of residency, businesses must bring business license number.

The annual free drop-off event will be held at the City Maintenance Facilities, 1900 Laguna Canyon Road, from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 20.
