Flood Advisory Issued in Laguna Beach
The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the city of Laguna Beach.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach and the National Weather Service released a coastal flood advisory from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday.
During rain and thunderstorms, localized flooding is possible in flood-prone areas of the city.
"National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for Coastal Orange County until 1:30 pm today," they said in release. "Doppler radar has indicated heavy rain due to a band of thunderstorms over Orange County. Localized flooding may occur as well as minor mud or debris flows."

Residents and businesses are advised to take appropriate actions. Remember, "turn around, don't drown."

Also, in response to lightning strikes forecast along the Orange County coastal area through early afternoon, Laguna Beach has now closed its beaches until at least 1 p.m.
Newport Beach lifeguards are asking people to voluntarily leave the beach for safety reasons.
