'Her Heart Will Still Beat,' Mother Donates Laguna Teen's Organs
A Laguna Beach family still grieving the loss of daughter & sister Jasmen Wilkinson, honor her memory through the gift of organ donation.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA ā A tragic car crash ended the life of a Laguna Beach 14-year-old just weeks ago but that is not the end of her heartbeat. Thanks to the gift of organ donation, Laguna Beach High School student Jasmen Wilkinson's heart and other organs will help others live, breathe and see, according to a report from NBC4LA.
On November 5, Jasmen Wilkinson, 14, was killed in a collision at Laguna Canyon Road on the way to school. Her sister, Lana, 11, was trapped inside the vehicle, along with the driver. Jasmen was not wearing her seat belt in the crash.
Mother Ieva Wilkinson made the decision to turn her daughter's death into something that could grant others hope.

Now, as many as 75 donor recipients will have a new lease on life thanks to Jasmen's ultimate gift, according to her mother.
"That's what she would do," Wilkinson said of her daughter. "She would give you everything."

A GoFundMe to support the Wilkinson family has raised over $95,000 to lend aid to the ones left behind and still paying medical bills and suffering from broken bones.
"We are so touched with the outpouring of love," organizers of that fundraiser wrote.
