LAGUNA BEACH, CA —Laguna Beach's City Hall is known for their imaginative and unique sculptures. Over the next three months, you'll see the work of artist Mark Jenkins.

Jenkins is known for his"hoodie" wearing figures, and oddities that spark social commentary that have graced the streets of Washington, D.C., Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as well as international installations in Moscow, Seoul, Barcelona and London.

In Laguna Beach, his sculptures depict a man wearing a hoodie with his face blocked from the sun. Each one relates to a various lawn game, and outdoor activities in the age of global warming, the city Cultural Arts Manager says.

Jenkins' work is surreal in its nature, and sparks social commentary on the controversial topic of global warming.

Outside of city hall, his hoodie-characters are seen toasting his hot dog in the sun, playing horseshoes, while another character can be seen vacuuming the lawn. Finally, another hoodie-man looks toward the "defiance of William Tell and the apple on his son's head," the city art council says of the work.
