Hummingbirds And Aloe Plants: Zen Moments In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Life in Laguna Beach runs at a slower pace. Reader and contributor Angela Madsen shared this picture of a hummingbird taking a sip of an aloe flower in a signature Laguna moment.
The aloe plants and flowers are often photographed, but the sight of a hummingbird in flight makes it all the more magical.
"The sun was out, and the birds were feasting on the booming aloe plants!" Madsen says. "It's like summer in January."
