LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A legendary cafe in Laguna Beach was temporarily closed this week.

For several days, butcher paper has covered the windows of the Penguin Cafe, a Laguna Beach restaurant that has been in operation since the 1940s.

Owner Sabrina McMurray told The Orange County Register that the cafe is "temporarily closed" but did not specify how long the closure would be.
