July 4 Drone Show In Laguna Beach Underway: What To Know
The city is swapping out traditional fireworks for environmentally-friendly drones at this year's Independence Day celebration.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A new kind of show will light up the Laguna Beach sky, after the city announced its first-ever 4th of July Drone Show this Thursday.
Attending residents can expect large crowds, heavy traffic and modified transit services as a result of the drone show.
Areas of Heisler Park, including the Lawn Bowling Green and Monument Point area will be closed all day Thursday, July 4. Later, at 5 p.m., the area of Heisler Park from Myrtle Street to the Rockpile Beach stairs at Jasmine Street will be closed.

Residents can tune into the Voice of Laguna and KXFM Radio to listen to a live audio simulcast of patriotic music during the show.
The city trolley will operate under a modified schedule on July 4, the city said. The Coastal Route will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the Canyon Route will run from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
