Katrina Foley Endorsed By Laguna Beach City Councilmembers

Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley has been endorsed by all five members of the Laguna Beach City Council for her bid for reelection.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — All five Laguna Beach City councilmembers gave Orange County Sup. Katrina Foley endorsements for her bid to be reelected to the Board of Supervisors, the Laguna Beach Indy reported.

According to the Laguna Beach Indy, Mayor Sue Kempf, Mayor Pro Tem Bob Whalen, Councilmember Toni Iseman, Councilmember Peter Blake and Councilmember George Weiss authored statements recommending Foley for her bid in the Fifth District Supervisor race.

The newly-drawn district runs along the coast from Newport Beach to San Clemente, reaching inland as far as Rancho Santa Margarita.

While county supervisor is a non-partisan elected position, Foley has also received endorsements from the Democratic Party of Orange County and the Laguna Beach Democratic Club, the outlet reported.

Foley's challengers include Sen. Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel), former Dana Point mayor and councilmember Diane Harkey, and Newport Beach councilmember Kevin Muldoon. Current Fifth District Supervisor Lisa Bartlett is terming out of office and currently running as a Republican for the 49th Congressional District.
