Laguna Beach Artist Celebrated In Pleasanton

This Laguna Beach artist's unique sculpture was chosen out of 18 artists, worldwide.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach artist Jon Seeman's Arc of Suspension will be installed in the City of Pleasanton's Cultural Arts Center, located at 4477 Black Avenue on May 12.

In January 2016, the City of Pleasanton issued a call to artists to create a commissioned art piece.

"The Pleasanton Art Selection Subcommittee selected artist Jon Seeman’s Arc Suspension for its artistic design and aesthetically pleasing feel," they said in recent release. "The piece was chosen from among more than 18 submissions from artists all over the world."

Jon Seeman, a Laguna Beach artist, is known for his abstract sculptures that evoke a sense of motion frozen in time. Heavy steel appears weightless in many of Seeman’s artistic expressions.

"The piece, which will be installed in front of the Cultural Arts Center, will cap off a series of renovations and improvements made to the site and serve as a beacon for artists throughout the City," they said.
