Laguna Beach artist Zoe Summer to Exhibit in NYC Art Show

Founder of “The Luxury Art Movement,” artist, author, and inspirational speaker Zoe Summer produces distinctive acrylic paintings which focus on symbolism, color, and form, with the occasional sprinkling of text, to reach an expression of enlightenment. Her visionary works combine iconic and sacred symbols, unlocking cosmic mysteries and suggesting transcendent motifs such as rebirth. Summer’s intention, “to shift a viewer from logical ‘rational’ mode of thought into their intuition, heart’s wisdom, and Truth,” is exhibited in her soulful and elemental renderings of a person’s inner life journey and the hidden nature of the universe.

The spiritual and supernatural are wondrously captured in the light-filled layers of texture in Summer’s works, which she often evokes through the use of spellbinding metallic pigments and purposefully childlike images. In this way, an experience of awe illuminates her pieces, constantly nurturing the viewer’s imagination, spirit, and passion. Summer’s welcoming creations achieve her personal goal of emanating a “positive light” and joyous celebration of life.

A Subjective Exhibition: Persistence of Form

In the exhibition Persistence of Form, fifteen artists paint, draw, and sculpt invigorating subjects that stand starkly against their backdrops. Drawing from different schools of art, from Pop to Cubism, to Futurism and more, these artists pick and depict their subjects with great care. Their deliberate techniques and fascinating representations draw the viewer in and force true contemplation on the stories behind these subjects. Who are these people? Where are these looming towers? Even essential geometries find their own narrative. These artists draw us in and latch on to us, proving that in this ever-abstracting world, we will never truly lose the importance of form.
