Laguna Beach Arts Commission To Select Holiday Palette Designs
The Laguna Beach Arts Commission gathered to decide on winning Holiday Palettes for the winter holidays.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA —On Monday, the City of Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Department was slated to meet and decide upon up to four 2019 Holiday Palette design.
The Holiday Palette Competition was open to artists who live, work or exhibit in the city of Laguna Beach, and are 18-years-old or older," according to the city.
Nine designs were submitted by the deadline. The arts commission will review and select four winning designs that will be turned into full-scale 3-foot by 4-foot palettes.

"The painted artworks will adorn lampposts throughout the city during the winter holiday season," a spokesperson for the commission wrote. The city will select up to four designs at the meeting on Oct. 14, with input from the Holiday Palette Competition sub-committee.
Winning artists will receive a 4-foot x 3-foot wooden palette on which to paint their original artwork, based upon their selected design. Artists will be notified by Oct. 15, the commission said.
