A local firefighter is setting the internet ablaze after the Laguna Beach Fire Department announced him as the 2025 Firefighter of the Year.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Can somebody call the fire department? One firefighter is setting the internet ablaze after the Laguna Beach Fire Department announced its 2025 Firefighter of the Year.
The department posted several images of firefighter Billy Senecal on its Instagram page to congratulate him for the honor — and many commenters took the opportunity to not only congratulate Senecal on his efforts with the department, but his good looks.

"I think my house is going to be on fire tonight at 7:45 p.m. if you can make it," one Instagram user posted.
"The way this was in 'suggested posts' on my feed. OKAY Instagram with the free dating app feature. Hinge could never," one user commented.

The Instagram post congratulating Senecal has since gone viral with over 3,900 comments and over 171,400 likes.
Looks aside, Laguna Beach Fire Chief Niko King said Senecal was selected for the honor by his peers "in recognition of his exceptional dedication, professionalism, and the significant contributions he has made to the department over the past year."
