Laguna Woman Suffers Medical Emergency, Veers Into Oncoming Traffic Striking 2 Cars

LAGUNA BEACH, CA —Laguna Beach traffic was stalled at rush hour Wednesday evening due to a crash at Moss Street and Southbound Coast Highway, police say.

Just after 5 p.m., a woman suffered a medical emergency while driving her SUV and veered into oncoming traffic, Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Cornelius Ashton tells Patch.

The woman was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, according to Ashton. "The occupants of the two vehicles that were struck were not injured," he said.

All vehicles suffered damage in the incident, according to a Laguna Beach Fire Department spokesperson and it took about an hour to clear the scene.

The driver of the SUV's condition is not currently known.
