Laguna Beach Playhouse Presents "Sleeping Beauty" A Different Princess Point of View

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — With modern music, gorgeous costumes and hilarious antics see why Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Night is the show to go to at the Laguna Beach Playhouse. Seeing theater in Laguna, you will notice stars of both large and small screen on the stage.

The play is based on the European fairy tale where a Princess called Aurora has a curse put on her by an evil fairy Carabosse.

By her 18th birthday, Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and fall asleep for 100 years. The Royal family live under the protection from Silly Billy and Nanny Tickle but Aurora does prick her finger and falls asleep for 100 years. A handsome Prince saves the day by defeating the wicked fairy and giving Aurora a true love kiss.

Starring Cozi Zuehlsdorff as Aurora, Barry Pearl as King of Laguna, Joely Fisher as Caraboose, Benjamin Schrader as Silly Billy, Jeff Sumner as Nanny Tickle. Full cast notes here.

Performances will be Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.; 3:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 11:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. There will be additional performances on Tuesday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, December 23 at 3:30 p.m. & Thursday, December 27 at 11:30 a.m.; 3:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

There will be no performance on Saturday, December 24 at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday, December 25.
