LAGUNA BEACH, CA — With the extraordinary beauty and dramatic cliffs and hillsides in Laguna Beach comes the reality of wildfire danger.

After taking a hard look at the town of Paradise, California, recently decimated by fire, the city of Laguna Beach shared their plans for mitigating fire danger on Wednesday. Officials visited Paradise, spoke with those who had fled the hellish flames and returned to rebuild and learn from the incident, a tribute to the homes and lives lost.

The state of California now exists in a 365 day fire season, according to officials. That season commands respect, and the City Council Wildfire Mitigation Subcommittee went to work creating a Fire Safety Plan to Protect Laguna Beach.
