Laguna Beach Residents Head To Coastal Cleanup Event Saturday
It's that time of year again as Laguna Beach residents head to Main Beach for the annual cleanup day.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA β On Saturday morning, head to Main Beach in Laguna to help clean up the crown jewel of the Emerald Coast, officials suggest.
Join officials from the Laguna Ocean Foundation from 9 a.m. to noon at Main Beach on Saturday to help keep the beach clean and pristine.
"Please bring gloves, a bucket, water, and sunscreen," the Laguna Beach Police Department suggested.

Dozens of beaches spread across the coast of Orange County will not only see the familiar beach towels, surfboards, and fold-out chairs of visitors looking for a fun day in the sun β but also countless residents' efforts to pick up discarded trash from the sandy shores.

According to the California Coastal Commission, in 2019, more than 74,000 volunteers picked up more than 900,000 pounds of trash from beaches and waterways throughout California.

Beach cleanups occur from 9 a.m. to noon, though if you cannot attend a cleanup on Saturday, fear not β you can participate in a self-guided neighborhood cleanup in your local park or community.
