LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Ruby's diner is the place to put the "fun" in fundraising this weekend according to the Laguna Beach Police Department. The Tip-A-Cop event will
On Saturday July 15 join the Laguna Beach Police Department will be hanging out at the Ruby's Diner on South Coast Highway from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
"Come join the Laguna Beach PD in raising funds to support the athletes and growth of Special Olympics Orange County," a spokesperson for the department said.

According to the fundraising page, a mere $500 dollars sponsors an athlete for a full year.
"Help us make a difference in the lives of these incredible athletes," they said.

Visit Ruby's Diner on Saturday to take part, and don't forget to bring the kids. As of this report, over $1,250 has been raised on behalf of the Laguna Beach Police Department.
At Ruby's, police will be on hand all day to take part in face painting, fingerprinting, showcase a police vehicle display and even a mini-jail.
All proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics.
