Laguna Beach Unified School District Talks Measure KK
The Laguna Beach Unified School District placed Measure KK - medical marijuana measure -on their Tuesday, Sept. 27 agenda.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — On Sept. 27, the Laguna Beach Unified School District placed the measure on their school board agenda.
The controversial measure would allow two medical marijuana dispensaries to operate within the Laguna Beach city limits, making Laguna Beach the only city in South Orange County to offer such a service.
The City Council voted to oppose Measure KK on Aug. 3o. On Aug. 27 and Sept. 13, members of the community requested the Laguna Beach Unified School District Board of Education to take action to support the city council's position, according to the district's meeting agenda. At the Sept. 13 meeting of the Laguna Beach Board of Education, two board members requested additional discussion on the topic.

In the city of Laguna Beach, those against the measure calling themselves "Together Laguna Can Defeat Measure KK" have rallied to sway citizens from voting for measure KK however with a statewide ballot measure for legalizing marijuana, commonly called the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, in the state of California, the point may be moot.
