Laguna Beach's 50th Annual Sawdust Art and Craft Festival is Underway

The 50th anniversary of the annual Sawdust Art and Craft Festival is in full swing, with an array of local artists, musicians this summer.

The 50th anniversary of the annual Sawdust Art and Craft Festival is underway in Laguna Beach.

The event, which will run now through Sunday, August 28, is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily and features the fine arts and crafts of over 200 Laguna Beach artists.

"Enjoy live entertainment, art demonstrations, classes, and outdoor cafes set in our cool eucalyptus grove," the festival announced in release. "Art enthusiasts, collectors, and novice artists have come to the Sawdust since our beginning in 1966 for our mix of fine art and craft."

Come to view, shop and enjoy live entertainment at three outdoor stages on the festival grounds, with musical acts from multiple genres.

Medias include hand-blown and fused glass, painting, jewelry, surf art, ceramics, clothing and textiles, wood and metal sculpture, scrimshaw, photography, and so much more.

"Our artists are eager to share their creative process with you so please feel free to ask our exhibitors questions, take an art workshop, and enjoy our live art demonstrations," they said.
