Laguna Beach's New Favorite Sport: Women's Water Polo in Rio

The City of Laguna Beach has a new favorite past time, watching their own water polo stars in action on the other side of the equator in Rio

LAGUNA BEACH, CA—Spoiler Alert. The women's water polo team, including Laguna Beach's own Aria and Mackenzie Fisher, will be competing for gold in Rio's 2016 Olympic games.

After today's match vs. Hungary, the women took it to their competition once again to secure their spot in the final games.

With a final score of 14 to 10, Mackenize Fisher was just one of team USA Women's Water Polo teammates to score against the Hungarian women in the match. The fact that she was first to score and set the tone of the game left the women undefeated.

Team USA will take on the Italians, also 5 - 0 in their Rio standings, on Friday.

They are one win away from being the first United States women's water polo team in history to win back to back gold medals.
