Laguna Beach's Shelf Elf Up To New Tricks In 2018

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — What is Elbee the Shelf Elf of Laguna Beach up to this year? If you've been following the City of Laguna's facebook and Twitter pages, the little guy has been just about everywhere. Here are a few of his latest antics.

He's been working with the fire goats, driving a local fire truck, and snorkeling at Crescent Bay Beach, according to the city.

Yes. Snorkeling.

In one pic, the rumor had it his antics led to Santa's sleigh getting booted for unpaid tickets. So, off to LBPD Elbee went!

Elbee is another way the City of Laguna Beach has a little fun over the holidays.

He's even showing off his public service chops by marketing the City of Laguna Beach's Emergency Backpack.

The shelf elf phenomenon is simple, unless you are a tired parent of small children who rise early to see where the mischievous characters turn up.

In Laguna Beach, Elbee was introduced and named by the community in 2016. Now, he "appears" again annually thanks to the City of Laguna Beach twitter and Facebook page. Watch for Elbee to pop up and say hello at various local landmarks.
