Laguna Canyon Fire Cause Still Under Investigation
The Laguna Beach Fire Department is still investigating the cause of last weekend's fire.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Laguna Beach Fire Department released an update on last weekend's Laguna Canyon brush fire, which began on Friday, November 18 at 6:15 p.m.
"The fire is 100% contained," Jeff LaTendresse, Fire Chief of Laguna Beach Fire Department said. "The cause of the fire is still under investigation."
Firefighters remained on scene through Saturday, Nov. 19 to continue to “mop up” 50-100 feet within the perimeter of the fire to ensure all the “hot spots” were extinguished.

"The Laguna Canyon fire burned an estimated two acres. No homes were ever threatened during the fire. During a brief period of time occupants of the Alternate Sleeping Location (ASL) were relocated to the Dog Park; once the fire was under control at 8:45 p.m. the ASL was reopened and in use for the remainder of the night, LaTendresse reported.
