LAGUNA BEACH, CA — In June, Laguna Drug Store went out of business. Before they left, the owners donated its card and paper goods inventory to the Laguna Food Pantry to use in a fundraiser.

Now, those donated items will be available to all in an effort to raise money to support the Pantry's programs.

"Pick up quality paper products – greeting cards, stationery and more – at a fraction of the retail price while supporting the pantry’s mission in providing free, nutritious and fresh groceries for shoppers," a spokesperson said.

Laguna Food Pantry’s volunteers and donors believe no one should go hungry. The pantry serves anyone in need, and collects and distributes 5,000 lbs. of free, fresh groceries to approximately 100 families, half of whom have children.

The Food Pantry event was scheduled at the Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann’s Drive from Saturday August 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
