Laguna To Sound Outdoor Warning System Sirens Tuesday: What To Know

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach will blast its warning sirens on Tuesday afternoon, they alerted residents over the weekend.

This is only a test.

At 4 p.m. Tuesday, the sirens in place across the city will sound, the city alerted residents. There are 23 strategically placed outdoor sirens that can alert the public to emergencies like tsunamis and wildfires. The tests occur quarterly and include both a tone and an audio message from the police department.

Residents who signed up for Laguna Beach emergency and citywide texts received the notification. Be sure and sign up for those online at the city's alert web page.
