Man Rescued After 35-Foot Fall Off Corona Del Mar Cliff

A man was hospitalized early today in unknown condition after falling off a cliff in Corona del Mar.

The incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. Friday, with the victim reported to have fallen about 35 feet, a dispatcher with Metro Cities Dispatch said.

A videographer at the scene said the fall occurred just north of Corona del Mar State Beach, where the victim had been walking with his girlfriend.

The videographer said rescuers had to carry the victim over rocks to a waiting ambulance.
