Monday Wave Check

Nice clean conditions!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, you're not going to find much in the way of waves in this neck of the woods.  So, you'll mostly likely want to head down south a bit where there's some playful-size surf on tap.

The conditions are nice and glassy early on, with a mix of some minimal leftover west-northwest ground and windswell and a hint of southwesterly energy in the background.

That recipe is making for some fast and fairly weak lines, with a few workable ones on a log or something really thick and wide.  Most Laguna Beach spots are running about ankle- to knee-high, with the focal points pulling an occasional thigh- to waist-high set.

At 5:11 this morning the tide dropped to a 0.1 low. It  pushes back up to a 4.5 high at 11:11  this morning, and then drops again to a 0.4 low at 5:05 this evening.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water!

FYI...County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean after a rain for at least 72 hours, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
