Monday Wave Check

A little leftover funk on it from all the wind.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, we're seeing some residual storm swell in the water, with those conditions a little disorganized from all the crazy wind we had.

Many spots are seeing some residual some lump and bump on it.  As far as the surf goes...we've got a decent dose of southerly windswell and some smaller west northwest energy in the water.

That recipe is making for some fast sectiony lines, with some fun workable corners.  Most spots in Laguna Beach are running about knee to chest high, with the standout breaks pulling a few bigger sets.

At 5:07 early this morning the tide drained out to a negative 0.8 low which will have many spots lacking water early on.  The tide then pushes back up to a 4.7 high at 11:16 a.m and then drops once again to a 0.5 low at 4:56 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Good luck out there!

FYI...County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to the likelyhood of increased bacteria levels, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
