More Flooding On Coast Highway Closes Downtown Laguna Road

The flooding was reported at 8 a.m. Friday morning in the City of Laguna Beach.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Flooding caused by high tides and a powerful surf impacted Coast Highway and shut down a busy Laguna Beach road Friday morning.

The flooding, which was reported shortly after 8 a.m. Friday, prompted authorities to shut down inbound Broadway at Beach Street and outbound Broadway at Coast Highway.

Residents should expect congestion in the area of Broadway and N. Coast Highway for the rest of the day until the area is cleaned up.

The flooding comes a day after inches of water were reported on Coast Highway near Main Beach, amid an ongoing flood advisory currently impacting South Orange County beaches.
