Mudslide In South Laguna Where Sinkhole Swallowed Car: Report
Residents of a Laguna Beach neighborhood woke up this week to find a mudslide adjacent to a similar sinkhole that swallowed a car in March.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A mudslide in a south Laguna Beach neighborhood adjacent to a similar sinkhole that in March swallowed a Range Rover has local residents concerned about the recent rains, The Orange County Register reported.
The break occurred under a retaining wall along Sunset Avenue during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 6, when a resident who lives 100 yards below the slide noticed mud in her backyard.
According to the report, the same resident experienced something similar last March, when her backyard was filled with mud, rocks and debris from the sinkhole.
