This Officer Surfs And Protects Laguna Beach's Cars
Laguna Beach Police Department's Corporal Luke Gilbertson received the award for the most stolen vehicle recoveries for the year 2016.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Law Enforcement Officers throughout Orange County were honored this week for their efforts and accomplishments in regards to the recovery of stolen vehicles, California Highway Patrol Officer Josh Nelson said.
Laguna Beach Police Department's Corporal Luke Gilbertson received the award for the most stolen vehicle recoveries for the year 2016.
The 27th Annual Auto Theft Advisory Committee (ATAC) Awards Ceremony took place at the Garden Grove Community Center, where recipients were recognized for their efforts in recovering stolen vehicles in Orange County.

"In addition to this recognition, they will be donating $200 to the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach in his name," Laguna Beach City Manager John Pietig said in his weekly release. "Congratulations, Luke."
The Chiefs of Police, CHP, and Sheriff from their respective law enforcement offices throughout the County will be present along with City, State, and County Officials.

Each officer was awarded a plaque from the Auto Theft Advisory Committee.
