Opening Of New Dog Park Approaches In Laguna As Crews Start Work

City crews will start construction on the new dog play area at Mountain Meadows Park this weekend. What to know.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Laguna Beach dogs will soon have a new park to call their own, as city crews prepare to begin work on the new dog play area at Moulton Meadows Park.

The work will start Aug. 14, when the city’s contractor begins construction of the permanent play area. According to the city, the new play area will replace the temporary facility that was installed in 2019.

The work will include new fence, benches, irrigation system, renovated turf, and landscape screening, according to a city report.

Construction is estimated to be completed by January 2024.
