Pastel Prelude In Laguna Beach: Photo Of The Day

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — If you get out early enough in Laguna Beach, you just might catch a pastel prelude lighting up the sky.

Laguna Beach resident photographer Marshall Aren was walking his dog, Cooper, in downtown Laguna Beach this week when he snapped this photo.

"I've always loved watching downtown slowly start the day when I'm on my morning walk with Cooper," Area told Patch. "But it's a particular treat on mornings like this that look like beautiful pastel artworks. A perfect representation of the calm, peaceful quiet that precedes the raucous rest of our downtown day."
