In addition to the public's enjoyment of seeing the artists in and around town capturing Laguna and beyond on canvas, there were special presentations made that were both entertaining and educational. On Monday, October 14th, "Sennelier Discovery Night" attendees were delighted to learn about Sennelier Paints, the oldest paint supplier in Paris, who have created special paint colors for the master artists like Degas and Picasso and continue to supply today's masters. Followed by an exciting and amazing painting demonstration by master fine artist John Burton, who created a near complete masterpiece in just over an hour! Tuesday evening attendees learned about "The Art of Looking at Art" and developing a critical eye for art, as presented by The Irvine Museum Executive Director, and an expert on California Impressionism, Jean Stern.
