Outage In Laguna Beach Leaves Several Hundred Residents Without Power

Southern California Edison crews worked to repair a power outage that occurred in Laguna Beach Friday morning.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA —A power outage in Laguna Beach left some residents in the dark Friday morning, SoCal Edison reported.

The repair outage was reported at 10:05 a.m., and a field investigator was sent to determine its cause, according to the power company's outage map. Around 350 SoCal Edison customers were impacted by the outage.

By 3 p.m. Friday, the power outage was resolved according to SoCal Edison's power outage map. Laguna Beach authorities did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

SoCal Edison initially said most of the repairs would be finished by 11:05 a.m. Friday, but the company did not start repair work as of 11:56 a.m., according to the outage map. The company did not immediately provide an estimated time on when power will return to the area.
