Present Of Presence: Officers Spend Christmas With Homeless Kids
It was a display of camaraderie and support as these Laguna Beach Police Officers stopped by Laguna's homeless shelter to share some cheer.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The night shift gets long in Laguna Beach, especially on Christmas. It was a quiet holiday evening with only one call out for a domestic disturbance, according to Laguan Beach Police Sgt. Jim Cota.
On Tuesday, Christmas night, LBPD officers took it upon themselves to stop by the LB Youth Shelter during their night shift, Tuesday, Christmas night, according to Cota.
Officers M. Lee and Officer W. Kraus arrived at the Laguna Beach Youth Shelter to spend time with the kids.

With only two girls at the shelter, the officers kept them entertained by singing, playing guitar and even playing a few rounds of basketball.
"The officers arrived at the shelter with Christmas cookies, and then sang, talked and just spent some time with the kids, present," Cota said.

Officers acting from a place of kindness can make a big difference in the life of a child.
We thank the LBPD for caring for all citizens and hope that all have a happy holiday season.
