Rain, Cold Weather To Stick Around In Laguna Beach Saturday

The wet weather comes as yet another powerful storm moved into California on Friday, with rain showers expected to stick around this week.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — More rain is on the way to Laguna Beach starting Friday, as yet another powerful storm moves into California, bringing with it wet weather, dropping temperatures and lots of gloom.

The wet weather is expected to continue on past the weekend and into the week, the National Weather Service reported.

As of Friday morning, coastal Orange County residents were expected to experience anywhere between .7 inches of rain and 1 inch of rain.

The rainfall count was projected to be higher in mountain communities and foothills.

On Saturday, Laguna Beach residents can expect a 40 percent chance of showers in the morning with temperatures in the low-60s.

Temperatures will be mostly in the 50s and 60s in the area. Conditions should dry out on Sunday and Monday, but another potentially strong storm could hit the area by Tuesday.

With the parade of recent storm activity, President Joe Biden on Friday approved an emergency declaration for much of California, including Los Angeles County.

The president "ordered federal assistance to supplement state, tribal, and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides beginning on March 9, 2023, and continuing," according to the White House.
