Unconscious Swimmer Airlifted From Table Rock Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A swimmer was found unconscious in the ocean off Table Rock Beach, Friday. Laguna Beach Police, Orange County Lifeguards, and Laguna Beach Marine Safety lent mutual to Laguna Beach Fire Department, in an attempt to resuscitate the swimmer.

Capt. Brad Herzog of the Orange County Lifeguards told Patch a man was found unconscious in the water at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday.

OC Lifeguards got him to the shore at Table Rock Beach, but he was unconscious, Herzog told Patch.

Laguna Beach Fire Department arrived at the scene and performed CPR, Herzog told Patch. Orange County Sheriff's Department's Duke 6 helicopter airlifted him from the beach to a nearby hospital.

The ocean was at a "yellow flag" condition, according to residents.
