Body Discovered At Inland OC Elementary School

BUENA PARK, CA — The body of a woman who apparently committed suicide at a local elementary school was found Friday. Classes were canceled for the day, authorities said.

The name of the woman was withheld, pending notification of family. The manner of death was also not disclosed. It is also not known at this time if any students witnessed the scene.

The body was discovered about 6 a.m. at Corey Elementary School, 7351 Holder Ave., said Buena Park police Lt. Tamra Banks.

"Detectives ... determined there was no suspicious activity, and this incident is non-school related," Banks said in a statement.

The school was closed for the day, Banks said.
