Shaw's Cove Seals Say Hello To Laguna Beach Divers: Patch Photo
A Laguna Beach swimmer turned diver caught this adorable duo this summer off the coast of Shaw's Cove.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A local open water swimmer recently discovered an amazing sight off the shore of Shaw's Cove. Wendy Theders loves the water, and as a Laguna Beach transplant, being able to dive so close to home is one of the many benefits of life on the Emerald Coast.
"This mom and her pup swam right in front of me at Shaw’s Cove!" she tells Patch. "To me, it appeared like the baby was nursing."
Laguna Beach's marine population is thriving this summer, as witnessed by Theders. A marathon ocean swimmer, Theders has had to put many swims on hold in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
