Sinkhole Repaired On Bluebird Canyon Drive In Laguna Beach
The city's public works department made quick work of a sinkhole that opened up in the middle of Bluebird Canyon Drive Thursday.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Commuters driving down Bluebird Canyon Drive Wednesday afternoon were greeted to a startling sight: a gaping sinkhole in the middle of the road.
Crews from the Laguna Beach Public Works Department were quick to respond and performed emergency work to repair the sinkhole through the afternoon.
The work included the replacement of a 10-foot length of failed 24-inch corrugated metal pipe storm drain, followed by the repair of the road's surface.

Bluebird Canyon Drive was closed for about four hours as a result of the emergency repair work on the sinkhole.
