Solar Incentive Program Pays Laguna Beach Residents up to $1,500 When They Go Solar With Local Incentive Program
Free Educational Solar Luncheon for Countywide Program Takes Place August 23rd in Laguna Niguel
Sullivan Solar Power, a leading Southern California renewable energy company, is administering a countywide solar incentive program that allows property owners to get paid to go solar. The Orange County Solar Program allows property owners in Orange County to own a solar power system for no money out-of-pocket and receive up to $1,500 in cash-back incentives.
A typical Laguna Beach homeowner, installing a solar power system with around 6,000 watts of solar capacity, will see their monthly electricity bill reduced from $273 to $178 on average, according to Sullivan Solar Power. In addition to immediate cash-flow savings, and a $1,500 cash-back incentive, the average Laguna Beach homeowner will receive a Federal tax credit to the tune of $7,800.
The Orange County Solar Program is modeled whereby early adopters receive the highest incentives. The program is limited to 500 participants, or 1,350,000-watts of solar capacity, whichever occurs first. The county program is structured into three phases, and as milestones are reached, incentive amounts will drop.

· Phase I: $0.50 per watt up to $2,000
· Phase II: $0.40 per watt up to $1,500

· Phase III: $0.30 per watt up to $1,000
“It is anticipated that more than a half a million dollars will be injected into Orange County through cash back incentives,” said Daniel Sullivan, founder and president of Sullivan Solar Power, “The Orange County Solar Program has been implemented to assist the Orange County region in declaring energy independence from foreign fossil fuels and to create a sustainable future for the next generation.”
