Special Patriots Day Band Performance Underway In Laguna Beach
Residents can celebrate Patriots Day in Laguna Beach with a special outdoor concert taking place before the annual parade. What to know.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Preparations for a very special concert are underway in Laguna Beach, after the Laguna Community Concert Band announced its plan to celebrate Patriots Day with an outdoor concert for the public.
The concert will is a longstanding tradition leading up to the city's annual Patriots Day Parade, Band Director Mark Lowery told Patch.
The one-hour program features an array of crowd favorites, including the patriotic medley "Land of Liberty," by John Wasson, and the "National Emblem March," by Edwin Eugene Bagley, to name a couple.

“The Laguna Community Concert Band has kicked off the Patriots Day Parade almost every year since the band was founded in 1999,” Lowery told Patch. “We always look forward to this event, and enjoy sharing our love of music as we honor our troops, our veterans and our community.”
The Patriots Day Concert starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 at the Peppertree Parking Lot on Forest Avenue.
