Strong Surf, Big Waves This Weekend In Laguna Beach
A Beach Hazards Statement was released for Laguna Beach, with the strongest surf affecting south-facing beaches across Orange County.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The National Weather Service San Diego released a Beach Hazards Statement for all Orange County beaches through Saturday night.
Friday through Saturday evening, visitors to our shores will see sets from 7 to 8 feet.
High rip currents are also expected, leading to dangerous swimming conditions, NWS meteorologist Alex Tardy says.

Expect strong rip currents, and minor tidal overflow is possible near low-lying beaches, boardwalks and parking lots.
Minor beach erosion is possible, they said.

"Use caution when in or near the water and always swim near a lifeguard," they said.
