Surfas Culinary District at SOCO Collection invites you to bring your future pastry chefs for two fun-filled days of baking and decorating cakes, held on July 13-14 from 9:30-12:30pm! In this hands-on class the future bakers will learn how to make sponge cake, chocolate cake, upside-down cake, and a pound cake. Surfas’ Chef Instructor will teach your teens the fundamentals of piping and creating pastry creams, mousses, curds and ganache, and they will also learn how to slice and layer their own cakes! If that wasn’t enough, your bakers will also bring home an individual-size chocolate and lemon cake for the family to enjoy. This cooking camp is for ages 12 to 17 and is recommended for those who already love to bake and are looking for a challenge.
