Susi Q Seeks Gently-Used Treasures For Bargain Bonanza: How To Help
Laguna Beach residents were asked to consider donating items such as scarves, purses, jewelry, kitchenware and more.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A Bargain Bonanza at the Susi Q Senior and Community Center in Laguna Beach is underway and scheduled for May 6, presenting residents with the special opportunity to support their city's seniors.
On Wednesday, Bargain Bonanza organizers announced that they would be seeking new or gently-used donations such as jewelry, purses, kitchenware, clocks, hats, scarves and vases for the yearly cash-only event.
Residents can donate items April 17, 19, 24 and 26 and May 1 and 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Susi Q Center, 380 Third St. According to an event flyer, clothing, furniture and other oversized items will not be accepted.

In addition, organizers may have to turn some items away due to limited space.
The donated treasures will be purchased by residents on the day of the Bargain Bonanza and given new homes, with proceeds going toward the purchase of Bingo prizes for Laguna Beach seniors, as well as support toward the Laguna Beach High School Scholarship Fund for LBHS students.
